About Mandalisa’s Mandalas
Each mandala I create is entirely hand-painted, layer by layer, using meticulous dot placement and intentionally blended color gradients. I work with high-quality acrylics to achieve smooth transitions, crisp detailing, and a refined finish that photographs beautifully and feels even more captivating in person. Every piece begins with precise geometric structure, then evolves into an intuitive flow of pattern, rhythm, and color harmony. I build depth through hundreds—sometimes thousands—of individual dots, creating texture, movement, and balance. My craftsmanship is rooted in patience, symmetry, and a genuine love for turning color theory into meditative art that transforms a space.
My Story
I had never opened a tube of paint or picked up a brush in my life until after my spinal cord injury. In one of the darkest seasons I’ve ever experienced, my daughter handed me a box of paints and—lovingly but firmly—told me to try. That simple gesture changed everything.
What began as a way to pull myself out of grief and stagnation slowly became a source of grounding, purpose, and quiet joy. Painting taught me presence. Color gave me hope. Mandalas, with their rhythm and symmetry, helped me find balance when my world felt unrecognizable.
Four years later, this practice has grown into a full artistic journey—one built from resilience, intention, and gratitude. Every mandala I create is painted with patience and heart, and my hope is that these pieces bring the same sense of healing, warmth, and beauty into your space that creating them has brought into mine.
